Congratulations to David Law coming 3rd in the 2013/2014 AWA Gold Fleet Series. David is a wave and free ride sailor who only started slalom sailing in 2011 after a holiday in Maui.  He took the plunge and bought a JP 100litre slalom board and begged and borrowed second hand sails. In 2012 he was second in the AWA Silver Fleet series. In 2013 he upgraded all of his gear to the Exocet RS 4 Carbon Slalom board

and entered the AWA Gold Fleet.

3rd is an amazing result for only his second year at this level against team riders and semi professionals. David was the only unsponsored sailor in the Top 5 and beat two of the much talked about Team 10 Riders into 4th and 5th. Well done David
